Biographical Notes:
Mr. Smith is an experienced trial attorney who has practiced in state and federal court since 1975. Earlier in his legal career, he served as a Military Judge while on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps. His practice for the past approximately twenty years has been concentrated in civil litigation, in which he represents plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Smith has been a Certified Superior Court Mediator since 1996, and a Certified Family Financial Mediator since 2004, and has mediated over 1000 cases since his initial certification. Mr. Smith also is selected frequently to serve as an arbitrator for UM/UIM and construction-related claims. His vast experience of more than thirty years as a trial counsel, judge, arbitrator and mediator provides him with a unique perspective for all sides of a lawsuit, which enables him to be particularly effective in mediations, as well as in other ADR settings.
