Biographical Notes:
 From 1974 until 2000 Ron was a member of Staton, Perkinson, Doster, Post & Silverman in Sanford, North Carolina. In 1988, he was elected President of the Lee County Bar. His practice was concentrated in civil litigation.
In 1996, he received his mediator certification from the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. In 1997, he was chosen to join the Duke University Panel of Attorney-Mediators, where he served until 2002. Since 2002, he has been on the faculty of the Beason-Ellis Dispute Resolution Training Program.
Ron has been chosen as one of THE BEST LAWYER'S IN AMERICA in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
He has mediated approximately 2,000 cases in the Federal Courts and Superior Courts of the State of North Carolina.
Education:
 A 1969 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ron attended Wake Forest University Law School, graduating Cum Laude in 1974. He served as a special editor of the Wake Forest Law Review from 1973 to 1974.
