Mr. Whittington is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, American Academy of Trial Lawyers, American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, 11th Judicial Bar Association and Johnston County Bar Association. He served as President of the 11th Judicial Bar Association in 2000 and President of the Johnston County Bar Association in 1999. He served as Assistant District Attorney for the 11th Judicial District from 1979 to 1981. Mr. Whittington is admitted to practice in all North Carolina Courts, United States District Court (E.D.N.C.) and United States District Court (M.D.N.C.). He has a AV peer rating by Martindale Hubbell.
