Biographical Notes:
 Anne Slifkin entered law practice with the litigation firm of Thorp and Anderson, in Raleigh and Rocky Mount. At the time she was one of the first women actively appearing in NC Civil Superior Court. Until recently she practiced as a partner with Becton, Slifkin and Bell of Raleigh. On January 1, 2009, she opened a practice focusing on Alternative Dispute Resolution. Over 30 years of experience working with clients and being actively involved in the Durham community, where she lives, has provided a sensitivity to the needs of litigants and an interest in resolving conflict outside of the courtroom, through arbitration and mediation of civil matters. She has a special interest in helping to resolve disputes in which the resolution of the dispute in question involves differences of cultural or national background. In addition, she has expertize in the area of disputes arising from provision of medical care and among members of the medical care community. Anne is currently the co-director of a program designed to enhance the skills of medical care providers.
